Version v1.0 · Effective date: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Dragging Up collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Who we are
Dragging Up is operated by Drill The Earth, LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Dragging Up (the "Operator", "we", "us", or "our"). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at legal@dragging-up.com or at 603 Main Street, Suite 201, Garland, Texas 75040.
This policy covers the Dragging Up website at dragging-up.com, the Dragging Up mobile apps and the related services (together, the "Service"). Capitalized terms not defined here, such as Member, Worker, Company, Crew, Listing and Paid Plan, have the meanings in our Terms of Service.
The Service is for people 18 and older and for businesses located in the United States.
Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to run a job and crew marketplace.
Information you give us
- Account information: name, email address, phone number (if you add one), password or sign-in method, account type (Worker, Company or Crew), and your confirmation that you are 18 or older.
- Worker profile and résumé: trade, skills, certifications and licenses you choose to list, work history, availability, willingness to travel, home city and state or ZIP code, photo, and any résumé file you upload.
- Company and Crew information: business name, contact person, business location, service area, trades, equipment, crew size, and documents you choose to upload, such as insurance certificates or license numbers.
- Listings and applications: job posts, pay ranges, crew availability posts, bid requests, applications and saved candidates.
- Messages: messages and attachments you send or receive through the Service.
- Reports and support: reports you file, appeals, and messages you send to support.
- Billing information: your plan, billing history and billing ZIP code. Card payments on the web are processed by Stripe; we receive only limited details from Stripe, such as card brand, last four digits and expiration date. We never receive or store your full card number. App Store purchases are processed by Apple, and we receive only the subscription status.
Information collected automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, app version, pages and screens viewed, referring page, and the date and time of each request. We use this data to run, secure and fix the Service.
- Consent records: the version of the Terms of Service and this policy you accepted, the time you accepted, your consent to automatic renewal, and your IP address at that time.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure site performance. It does not use cookies, does not use local storage to track you, and does not build a profile of you across sites.
Information from others
- Other Members, when they send you messages, report your account or Listing, or mention you in content.
- Stripe and Apple, about the status of your payments and subscriptions.
Information we do not want. Do not put Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, government ID numbers or images, dates of birth, medical information, or information about your race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, citizenship or immigration status, sexual orientation, disability or union membership in your profile, Listings or messages. We do not ask for this information and we do not use it. We do not collect precise geolocation.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and run your account and show your profile and Listings to other Members as you choose;
- let Members apply to jobs, post Listings, request bids and message each other;
- process subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations and promo codes, and send the required billing and renewal notices;
- send service, account, security and legal messages, and marketing email you can opt out of;
- detect and stop spam, fraud, fake jobs, scams, harassment and other violations of our Terms, including by automated and human review of Listings, profiles and messages;
- respond to reports, support requests and legal requests;
- measure and improve the Service using aggregate or de-identified data;
- keep records that prove consent, enforce our Terms and resolve disputes; and
- comply with law.
We do not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means alone. We do not run background checks, credit checks or identity checks, and we do not create consumer reports.
Who can see your information on the Service
What other Members see depends on your account type and your settings.
| Information | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Worker profile and résumé, when the profile is set to visible | Companies and Crews with an active Paid Plan |
| Worker profile and résumé sent with a job application | The Company or Crew that posted the job |
| Company and Crew pages, job posts and crew Listings | All Members, and the public where the Listing is public |
| Job posts | The public, search engines and job aggregators |
| Messages and attachments | The sender and the recipients, and our staff for safety and support |
| Billing details | You and our staff; never other Members |
You can hide your Worker profile at any time. Hiding it removes it from search, but a Company or Crew that already viewed or saved your information may keep its own copy.
How we share information
We share personal information only as described here.
- With other Members, as described in "Who can see your information on the Service" above.
- With service providers that host, store, secure and support the Service for us, including providers of cloud hosting, database and file storage, authentication, email delivery, push notifications, customer support, analytics (Cloudflare) and payments (Stripe, and Apple for App Store purchases). They may use the information only to provide services to us, under contracts that limit their use.
- For legal and safety reasons, when we determine disclosure is required by law, subpoena or court order; to respond to a lawful request from a government agency; or to protect the rights, property or safety of any person, including to investigate fraud or a threat of harm.
- In a business transfer, to a successor or affiliate that takes over operation of the Service, including through a merger, reorganization or sale of assets. The successor must handle the information under this policy or give you notice of any change.
- With your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not allow advertising networks to place trackers on the Service.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use only the cookies and browser storage needed to sign you in, keep you signed in, remember your settings and protect the Service. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies.
Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, we do not need an opt-out for those purposes. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising, which matches what we already do.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete or de-identify it.
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is open |
| Résumé file | Until you replace or delete it, or delete your account |
| Worker profile with no sign-in for 24 months | We will email you, then hide the profile and delete the résumé 30 days later unless you sign in |
| Job and crew Listings | While active, then up to 24 months after they close |
| Messages | While the sender's or a recipient's account is open; after you delete your account, messages you sent stay in recipients' inboxes with your name replaced by "Deleted member" |
| Billing and tax records | 7 years after the transaction |
| Consent and renewal records | 3 years, or 1 year after your Paid Plan ends, whichever is longer |
| Moderation, fraud and enforcement records | Up to 5 years after the action |
| Server logs | 90 days |
| Backups | Overwritten within 35 days |
When you delete your account, we remove your profile and résumé from the Service right away and delete or de-identify the rest of your personal information within 30 days, except for records we must keep under this table or by law.

In the last 12 months we collected the categories of personal information described in "Information we collect": identifiers; customer records; professional or employment-related information; commercial information (subscription history); and internet or network activity. We collected them from the sources and used them for the purposes described above, and disclosed them for business purposes only to the recipients described in "How we share information". We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give a right to limit.
Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls and limited staff access. No system is completely secure. If we learn of a security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Protect yourself: never send passwords, bank or card numbers, Social Security numbers or ID images in messages, and report any Member who asks for them.
