Version v1.0 · Effective date: October 12, 2026
Dragging Up is built for the people who build and maintain utility, telecom and energy networks. These guidelines set the rules for what you post and how you treat other Members. They are part of our Terms of Service. Dragging Up is operated by Drill The Earth, LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Dragging Up (the "Operator", "we", "us", or "our"). Capitalized terms such as Member, Worker, Company, Crew and Listing have the meanings in the Terms of Service.
1. Be real
- Use your real name, or your business's real legal name for a Company or Crew account.
- Post only real jobs that are open now, and real crew availability you can deliver.
- Name the actual employer in every job post. If you recruit for another company, say so and name that company.
- Close your Listing within 7 days after the job is filled, canceled or no longer available.
- List only the certifications, tickets, licenses, insurance and experience you actually hold.
2. Show the pay
Every job post must include:
- the actual pay rate or pay range (hourly, daily or annual), not just "DOE", "open" or "competitive";
- whether per diem, travel pay, lodging or mileage is offered, and how much;
- a general description of benefits and other compensation; and
- where the work is, or the region and travel pattern for traveling work.
If the law where the work happens requires more, include it. Posters are responsible for meeting every pay-transparency law that applies to their jobs.
3. No discrimination
Do not post a job, crew Listing or message that states a preference, limitation or requirement based on race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status, citizenship or immigration status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
- Not allowed: "young crew", "guys only", "no one over 40", "U.S. citizens only" (unless a law or government contract requires it and the post says so), "English speakers only" (unless the job requires English and the post says why).
- Allowed: "must be authorized to work in the United States", "must hold a valid Class A CDL", "must be able to lift 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation", "OSHA 10 required".
- Do not post blanket criminal-history exclusions such as "no felons" or "clean record only". You may say that a lawful background check may follow a conditional offer.
- Do not ask for protected information, such as age, date of birth, religion or medical history, in a Listing or in messages.
4. Never charge Workers
Companies, Crews and recruiters must not ask a Worker for any money, purchase or deposit to apply, interview, be hired, get trained, get a per diem advance, hold a spot, or keep a job. The only exceptions are deductions the law expressly allows and the Worker agrees to in writing after hire.
5. Protect personal and financial information
- Do not ask any Member to send a Social Security number, bank or card number, government ID image, password or login code through Dragging Up.
- Collect onboarding paperwork (such as Form I-9, W-4 and direct-deposit forms) only after a written job offer, through the employer's own secure onboarding process.
- Do not post anyone else's phone number, address, photo or personal details without their consent.
- Use Worker profiles and résumés only to evaluate and contact Workers about real opportunities. Do not copy them into other databases, sell them or share them.
6. No scams, schemes or spam
Not allowed:
- fake jobs, bait-and-switch jobs, or jobs that do not exist;
- multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, "business opportunities", franchise sales, investment offers, or commission-only roles presented as wage jobs;
- check-cashing, reshipping, "buy your own equipment from us" or overpayment schemes;
- requests to move the conversation to another app to avoid our reporting tools;
- bulk, repetitive or automated messages, and unrelated advertising.
7. Bids and crew deals
- A bid request must describe the scope, location, schedule and the party requesting the bid.
- Do not post bids or crew availability you cannot perform, or misstate your equipment, crew size, licenses, insurance or bonding.
- Put every crew deal in a written contract between the parties. Dragging Up is not a party to it and does not hold or guarantee any payment.
8. Respect
- No harassment, threats, bullying, stalking, hate speech, or sexual content or advances.
- No threats of violence or posts that promote unsafe or illegal work practices.
- Disagree about the work, not the person. Do not post rumors or false statements about a Member or a company.
9. Jobs must be lawful and for adults
- Every Member must be 18 or older. Do not post jobs open to minors.
- Do not post jobs that require a worker to break the law, work without required licenses or permits, or skip required safety measures.
10. Reporting
Use the Report button on any Listing, profile or message, or email legal@dragging-up.com. Tell us what happened and include screenshots if you have them. We read reports, but we do not promise to act on every report or to tell you what we did. If someone is in danger or a crime has occurred, contact law enforcement first.
11. What we may do
If we determine that content or conduct breaks these guidelines, the Terms of Service or the law, we may, at our discretion and without notice:
- remove or hide the content;
- limit features, such as posting or messaging;
- issue a warning;
- suspend or close the account, and close related accounts; and
- share information with law enforcement as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may close an account for a single serious violation, such as a scam, a request for fees from Workers, a threat, or a discriminatory post. A closed account's Paid Plan ends without a refund when the closure is for a violation. Enforcing these guidelines is our right, not our duty; see our Marketplace Disclaimer.
If you believe we made a mistake, email legal@dragging-up.com within 30 days with the subject "Appeal" and tell us why. We will review the appeal, and our decision on it is final.
Safety tips for Workers on the road
- Look up the company: website, state business registration and, where it applies, its contractor license.
- Get the rate, per diem, lodging, hours, overtime, start date and job length in writing before you travel.
- Never pay to get hired. Never send your Social Security number, bank details or ID before a written offer.
- Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to arrive.
- Report anything that looks wrong.
